Hi girls,

Hopefully someone can help me... I'm trying to alternate skeins and it's leaving an obviously wonky stitch each time I switch the yarn. Generally it's just a tight stitch or a bit misaligned. I'm trying to battle some pooling in rainbow yarn. I tried crossing the yarn and not crossing the yarn. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I can post a pic if that will help. I do knit pretty tight so that might be my issue. Can you give me a pic of what yours looks like where you alternate the yarn on the outside and inside? And any advice?

My guess is you're just pulling the yarn up too tight from the first stitch? I would like to see a picture though, if you have one. Have you washed the garment yet? Sometimes the wonky stitch comes out in the blocking.

I hardly ever alternate skeins but you should be able to do it without an obvious stitch. It's hard for me to guess what the problem is though, without seeing it.

Thanks, I think I was pulling too hard and not twisting the yarn... It looks pretty good with more practice. :) Here's a pic of the finished longies and I have a small rainbow on the needles that need to be alternated too. This is before they got washed. Most of the staggering you see is just swapping the yarn colors. It really came out nice.
