I am doing my first pair of longies and everything was going fine till the split of the legs. I dont understand the 2 last paragraphs. Pick up and knit 3

I just knitted until the other marker and started doing the leg to then realise as the leg was progressing that the front part of the gussett is all attached
with the leg. Doesnt seem right.

second marker? Thanks so much! Just reading the forum here has helped a lot! :)
First question...when I placed my markers at the front and back centers before doing all the M1R and M1L's there were an even number of stitches on each
side, now that I'm done with that, there are more stitches on one side then the other? Did i do something wrong, or is that right?

There will be a triangle (gusset) at the front and back right? And will each of them end up being 10 stitches each?...

I have a couple of questions though. do I do the hips at 16" for a size small? It says hip size 14-16" so I was assumign I would, but didn't
